Sandhill House is only 5 minutes from Royal Troon Golf Course and there are many other very well known golf courses in the area including Western Gailes, Prestwick and Turnberry. Glasgow Prestwick Airport is only 10 minutes away. Troon Railway Station is 10 minutes away and trains run to Glasgow every 30 mins Monday to Saturday and every hour on Sundays.  The Journey takes around 45 mins. Ayr Racecourse lies 20 minutes from Sandhill House.

A ferry runs from Ardrossan (20 mins along the coast) to the Island of Arran. Culzean Castle lies just 40 minutes away.  In its breathtaking cliff top location, it is one of the finest examples of Robert Adam architecture.
